MetaMask is considering the issuance of its own Token, according to Dan Finlay, the co-founder of this Ethereum wallet. Although there are no specific plans yet, Finlay revealed that if issued, the Token would be promoted directly within the wallet. Under the loose oversight of the previous Trump administration, he believes that the issuance of the Token could be safer, aimed at pushing boundaries and setting new precedents. However, securities laws remain an issue and many projects may operate in a "zone gray".

One concern raised is the potential for the MASK Token to be abused by scammers. Important information will only be disclosed in the wallet and on the official website. Discussions have been ongoing since 2021 about the issuance of this Token under the name MASK, with Joseph Lubin, CEO of ConsenSys, also revealing intentions. In 2022, Lubin added that the issuance of the Token and the formation of a DAO is part of the "progressive decentralization" plan.

A DAO is envisioned as a funding mechanism rather than a governing body. This Token is not intended for "quick fundraising" and measures have been implemented to prevent exploitation by airdrop hunters. This content only provides market information, not investment advice.
