Blockchain technology is hailed as the future, but for the average user, the experience is daunting, akin to dial-up internet in the 1990s. Faced with issues such as wallet switching, slow and costly cross-chain bridges, and fluctuating transaction fees, even in today's era of flourishing Rollup technology, the number of users truly willing to utilize on-chain applications remains very few.
One of the biggest challenges currently facing the blockchain ecosystem is the fragmentation of the ecosystem. Users need to frequently switch between different networks, such as Optimism, zkSync, and Polygon, which is as cumbersome as having to reapply for a SIM card every time they visit a website.
The innovation of the ERA project lies in its unique entry point: connectivity and modularity. ERA is not caught up in the competition of increasing TPS (transactions per second) or reducing costs, but instead is dedicated to creating a more seamless user experience. Through interconnected technologies, ERA aims to simplify cross-chain operations, making them as easy as the click of a button. Meanwhile, its modular design provides developers with ample freedom to customize blockchain solutions according to different user needs.
The value of the ERA token is closely related to user experience. Whether it's cross-chain operations, using applications, network maintenance, or participating in governance, the ERA token is required. This design ensures that the token value is directly linked to the actual usage rate of the platform, rather than empty market narratives.
Although ERA may not be a project that can immediately create a stir, as an infrastructure, it needs time to gradually penetrate and improve. If the future on-chain experience can achieve a silky smoothness, realizing the vision of one-click cross-chain and easily switching ecosystems, ERA is likely to play a key role in that.
The future development of blockchain technology does not lie in who can propose more esoteric concepts, but in who can truly lower the usage threshold for ordinary users, allowing them to easily get started even if they do not understand the technology. The opportunity of ERA is hidden in this seemingly simple yet challenging field: to provide users with a truly smooth blockchain experience.
