[Trump: New tariffs will be imposed on many countries in the next two to three weeks] According to the Financial Times, US President Donald Trump said in a meeting with business executives in the UAE on Friday that the United States may unilaterally set new tariff rates on many trading partners, rather than reaching an agreement with all trading partners. Washington will impose new tariffs "in the next two to three weeks." Mr. Trump added that Treasury Secretary Bessant and Commerce Secretary Lutnick would "send out letters that basically tell people how much they have to pay to do business in the United States." Trump said that while there are "150 countries" who want an agreement, "it is not possible to meet with all of them."
