Jeff, the founder of Hyperliquid, recently shared his entrepreneurial journey and his outlook on the future of Decentralized Finance. As a professional with a strong background in mathematics and quantitative analysis, Jeff recognized the potential of the Ethereum ecosystem and the rise in self-custody demand in 2022, which led him to establish Hyperliquid, a protocol focused on Decentralized Perptual Futures trading.

This lean team of 11 chose to self-fund, rejecting support from traditional venture capital and not relying on specialized market makers. They firmly believe in the importance of community-driven initiatives, placing user experience at the core. This unique operational model allowed Hyperliquid to capture about 75% of the market share in a short period and successfully launched its native token HYPE.

Despite achieving significant success, Jeff and his team are not in a hurry to push the HYPE token to centralized exchanges. They are more focused on the long-term development and refinement of the protocol. Currently, Hyperliquid is concentrating on several key areas: implementing the HIP-3 proposal, promoting the application of spot and Perptual Futures, and continuously optimizing on-chain performance.

Jeff emphasized the value of small and efficient teams that only recruit top talents who are passionate about the business and are honest and reliable. This pursuit of excellence allows the team to maintain a flexible development path and respond quickly to market demands and technological changes.

Looking ahead, Hyperliquid's vision is to become a neutral and high-performance protocol infrastructure that encourages external developers to build a diverse range of financial applications on top of it, including but not limited to stablecoin and asset tokenization solutions.

Jeff firmly believes that the field of Decentralized Finance still contains huge opportunities.
