Q&A from Gate.io

Q1: So to start things off, what has led you to develop the BabySwap? Can you explain the background and how did you come up with the idea?

Ava: Binance Smart Chain is a great place for newborn and long-tail projects to grow, however, they lack support in DEX. The existing DEX tends to only focus on BSC’s top projects, and cannot effectively cater to BSC newborn and long-tail projects. These projects do not have effective operational support, such as marketing, funds, resources, and so on.

On the other hand, there’s a traffic dilemma of DeFi Projects, the new NFT and GameFi projects start to connect the traditional market to the crypto world by attracting new traffic, and it’s not enough, so we feel like using our way to attract people outside.

So The development of BabySwap is divided into two stages and is gradually evolving from DeFi to GameFi. AMM is the fundamentals, NFT is the connector, and GameFi is the traffic pool.

Q2: And it seems like BabySwap has been growing fast in these three months and has been getting more and more talked about lately. What have you guys done these past three months?

Ava: I’d like to share a few of BabySwap’s latest achievements with you. BabySwap participated in the BSC MVBIII program. The average DAU (daily active users) ranked 5th in all BSC apps. The average daily trading volume is about 60 million, ranking 3rd in all BSC DEX. Our social signal ranked 2nd in all BSC apps and 1st in BSC DEX. The security score of BabySwap ranked 2nd in the whole BSC eco. The ranking data is from BSC Daily, DeBank, DappRadar, etc.

During these three months, BabySwap kept on the infrastructure BUIDLing, including product features, cooperation, projects services, etc.

About the project listing, to better match the projects in different needs, we launched different “”Baby”” programs for DEX listing, including Bubbly Baby, Celebrity Baby, Flash Baby, and MVBIII Baby. We kept a weekly listing of new 3-5 Pools and we never stopped looking after potential projects.

We did everything to better serve both the cooperating projects and the users of BabySwap. And the hard work pays off.

Q3: Definitely hard work pays off! And congratulations on all the achievements! So understanding more in depth the project, BabySwap has yield farms and pools. In the BSC eco that has so many established platforms, how do you feel as though these features make your project unique?

Ava: The development of BabySwap is divided into two stages and is gradually evolving from DeFi to GameFi. DEX is the fundamentals, NFT is the connector, and GameFi is the traffic pool.

Besides the basic features that are the same as other DEXs — swap, farms, and pools, BabySwap has some innovative optimization and support services:
I. Trade mining
Get a BABY mining reward every time you trade on BabySwap. 40% of the $BABY block emission will become trade mining rewards.
II. Tether (USDT) route
BabySwap’s recommended route is Tether (USDT). Our advantages are convenience and low cost for BSC beginners, and it’s easier to interact with CEXs since they mainly use USDT trading pairs.
III. BabySwap Grants
The Grants program greatly enhances the business partnerships between BabySwap and all other BSC projects and provides a massive expansion on the use cases of BABY.

Lastly and most importantly, we are eventually moving to GameFi. The game creates a whole new that includes BabySwap DEX functions, social activities, play-to-earn mechanisms, and NFTs as game props.

All these features empower BABY with various utilities and deploy a healthy eco around BABY.

Q4: Ok and it does seem like a very complete project… However, now there are a lot of DEX in the industry, what can BabySwap offer for the projects in the eco?

Ava: Now when we start to work with a project, we will learn the whole picture of it and offer the most matching services.

Baby provides three basic services for one token:
Liquidity Mining (Farm): helps to increase the market depth
Single coin Mining (Pool): to help complete high-quality token distribution
Trade Mining: helps to increase the trading volume

Apart from this, we launched Playground to better support our partners who have landed applications with BABY. Baby is working as a resources center, creating connections between different parties and introducing Baby’s friends. We expect to launch the Bottle (growth fund) function in October to support projects with real money.

Q5: Interesting…. ok and we noticed that BabySwap mints its own NFTs. Please share more about it. How is NFB Pool designed to be empowerment for $BABY?

Ava: BabySwap plans to build a complete NFT , and the goal is to establish a BabySwap metaverse. We always believe that NFT is a bridge to the traditional industry and is the embodiment of ownership. As a DEX focused on the start-ups and community, we want to get more people and projects involved, not just by simply buying artwork, but by truly empowering NFT so that we can provide the infrastructure for the metaverse.

BabySwap minted NFTs are called NFB (Non-Fungible Baby). Each NFB will have its face value, such as 1000 BABY. Users can stake their NFB into the NFB staking pool with the face value but earn with a higher APR.

BabySwap NFB has continuously ranked in the top three on Treasureland. This indicates that people recognize that NFB has a higher value and can be easily sold in the secondary market with very good liquidity.

Q6: But coming back to the project haha… what is coming? What are upcoming major plans before the end of 2021? Are you still keeping up with your roadmap?

Ava: Our Goal in the future is simple, for AMM part, we wanna be BSC’s #2 DEX that focuses on new or long tail projects. For NFT, we wanna be the top brand image/avatar in the crypto world. For GameFi, we simply wanna attract more users.

We will continually,
Support more and more BEP 20 Assets
Attract projects from other chains for BSC (AMM)
Attract traffic and users from outside of crypto (NFT+GameFi)

And yes, we are keeping it up to follow our roadmap. And we will have a fruity October with many new features being launched and the whole eco is more and more completed. They are the Smart Router, Hold function, Bottle function, Crypto BABY (Profile) and vBABY.

Q7: Wow, so much new stuff to come. Could you please introduce them in detail?

Ava: To achieve the goal for AMM, we will deploy a smart router in October to upgrade the trading experience. We will also have bottle and Hold as new features in October to lock up more BABY and provide a stronger foundation for BABY. UI and UX will also be upgraded and add dashboard, roi calculator , and customized settings in, to benefit users.

For NFT, the nft marketplace will be launched in October, and we are also going to have social avatars along with the marketplace. Toy figures in the real world will also be included later this year or next year.

For GameFi, Play2earn card games and simulation games are all in development.

As we grow, we are learning from the market and learning from the MVB III program to better support our users and partners. Long-tail projects are the core assets, and we will keep the fast pace to be the top 2 on BSC.
